[edit] Return

I don't know how long Jeff will be around. WWE hasnt added him to the RAW roster on WWE.com.

Don't you realize, WWE.com is NOT updated all the time? RobJ1981 19:11, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Well im sorry, i figured that Hardy would have been added by now, it's a little more than a day since his return.

In reference to his bit on Raw re-debut. I think the match was a no-contest due to Umaga.

Umaga had nothing to do with the match. Hardy won by disqualification, as seen on http://www.wwe.com/shows/raw/results/. And please sign your comments. Calaschysm 09:23, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Signature Moves

I think some signature moves should be added to his list. One is his Dropkick to an opponent laying down at the turnbuckle. Another one is his Dropkick to the outside through the 1st and 2nd ropes followed by a Plancha. Both of these Dropkicks have him use his arms to springboard off of the ropes(not sure what its called when using his arms). His running jumping Crossbody off the barracade should be added too(even though he hasn't used it since he's been back). Also his Leg Drop off of a ladder should be added. The one where he places the ladder next to the turnbuckle and hops over the ladder. He uses this in basically every ladder match he's in. Konigberserk 3:40, 18 November 2006

Um, we know that you aren't actually a user. We have page histories. -- THLCCD 22:45, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

I forgot to log in. I am a new user though so I can't add these moves. He uses them frequently and I feel they should be added to the list. Konigberserk 18:16, 18 November 2006

Type ~~~~ to sign your comments. TJ Spyke 23:24, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
Oh, I can just use that instead of typing it all out lol. By the way I had the date wrong...anyway what about someone adding these moves? KonigBerserk 00:31, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
I've added the barricade move, and the plancha to the list. -- Mikedk9109  (talk)  01:04, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
He usually does a dropkick from inside the ring to the opponent on the outside, lets them gets up and then delivers the plancha. I'm sorry if I wasn't very descriptive in my first message. KonigBerserk 01:08, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
I went ahead and added the ladder legdrop—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.135.62.114 (talk • contribs).
I added it before along with some other moves but someone just deleted it the next day.KonigBerserk 06:24, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Extreme Twist of Fate

Hasn't Lita referred to it as the Reverse of Fate at least once back when she was commentating on Sunday Night HEAT during a Jeff match?

It has been called both so mayby both should be added

Also, the The Extreme Twist of Fate should be bolded, since it is one of his finshers. If no one says anything, i`m gonna bold it—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 4.152.244.93 (talk • contribs).

I've seen him finish various matches with the ETOF. -- Mikedk9109  (talk)  17:37, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Alright, I reverted it because I never had, and it was an anon who made the change so I felt free to remove it. If you've seen him finish matches with it, that's good enough for me. Cheers, -- THL 06:07, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Stop adding week by week stuff

The idea of these entries is NOT to go into details every week, there is no need to go into such detail just for his return match. TJ Spyke 04:23, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, it's just ridiculous. No need for all that information here. That's why they have WWE.com. DonMEGĂ|60645 12:40, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Shouldn't we at least put in title defenses and Pay-per-views ? Kickurass00 20:09, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
    • Not every title defense and PPV. Do you think that in a year from now most people will care about every single title match? That is what you have to keep in mind. TJ Spyke 05:36, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
  • Yea ok, I get it... but, stuff like steel cages would be good to add, especially for Jeff, since he only had 1 victory in a steel cage.

I do believe that most major PPVs should be added. As he isn't the true headliner star that he once was, there shouldn't be too many to worry about. WiiAlbanyGirl 07:23, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Roster

Why has WWE.com still not added Jeff to the RAW roster? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Killswitch Engage (talkcontribs).

I am wondering the same thing WWE.com recently just added Harcore Holly and Matt Striker to the ECW Roster but still have not put Jeff Hardy up on the Raw Roster??? I wonder if he is still going to smackdown!!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Smackdown4ever (talkcontribs).

There we go, Jeff has a WWE profile. All can rest now.

But hey havent put his awesome entrance music!!!

I'm sure they will eventually. -- Mikedk9109  (talk)  22:21, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Return to WWE

It irks the hell out of me to see weekly updates. I really hope someone doesn't mention that he's in a six-man tag match tonight. DonMEGĂ|60645 12:49, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

you just had to put something, didn't you? Is it really necessary to note that JR didn't acknowledge TNA? They're not big enough yet. 64.241.230.3 12:29, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
Here we go again. I could understand mentioning the 6 pack challenge if Jeff Hardy would've won the belt, but the fact remains that he DIDN'T! Was that match a landmark in his career? NO! He didn't win the belt! So what if he came close? Does sanybody care that the Big Boss Man almost beat Hulk Hogan on Saturday Night's Main Event a few decades ago? No, because Hogan kept the title. You people are going to drive me to drink. 64.241.230.3 19:29, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
This is a frequent kayfabe target for editors(just like John Cena) wanting to add in what happens every week. People need to realize that this is not a wrestling review site. IF Hardy had won the match then yes it would have been noted, but we don't add in every time a wrestler gets a title shot. TJ Spyke 20:40, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

What's this about death? i cant find any evidence anywhere about thiat?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 85.210.19.115 (talk • contribs).

You can't find anything because it's not true. Rumors about famous people dying pop up all the time. TJ Spyke 21:01, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Whisper in the wind

I think that whisper in the wind (one of jeffs sig moves) refers to his previous gimmick, Willow the Whisp. should this be added? 87.112.10.207 16:05, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Do you have any sources for that? If not, no. -- THL 14:53, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism

Someone has put down that he was born in 1978, when it was normally 1977, as IMDb and MANY fansites say. A random vandal has changed the year of birth. Which is true? --D.F. "Jun Kazama Master" Williams 16:09, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Jeff is 29, and three years younger than Matt. Which would make him born in 1977. --Mikedk9109 (talk to me) (watch me) 22:19, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Every single week since Jeff returned he's been announced as weighing 225lbs, which looks more or less right considering he looks heavier than he was during his original run. So why on earth does someone keep changing his weight back to 218lb? Unless someone has an official source showing he weghs 218 lb, then surely his weigh should be listed as whatever the WWE announce him to be.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 62.30.172.64 (talkcontribs).

Most of the reputable sources that I have seen after googleing Jeff Hardy Weight say that he is either 212 lbs or 225 lbs. The only source I have seen for him being 218 lbs is Answers.com. I would say go with the 225 one, seeing as reputable sources other than the WWE, as well as the WWE itself, say that he weighs 225 lbs. Cheers, -- THL 04:48, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Answers.com doesn't even really count since they are basically a mirror of Wikipedia (although a few hours behind). So if somebody changed Jeff's weight to 700 pounds and no one changed it for a day or so, it would say the same thing at Answers. TJ Spyke 05:17, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
I know, I said that to show that there was only one source out of the 400 google results I looked through saying that he was 218; where there were many sources saying that he was 212 and 225. I didn't count the WWE in the final vote, and they came out exactly even. That is why I recommend going with the WWE. They actually have access to him and his weight every day, and since they have as much reputable sources for them as they do against them... -- THL 06:04, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jeff Hardy

do any one know why Jeff Hardy left WWE—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dirty dancer124 (talk • contribs).

This isn't a message board. This page is for discussing ways to improve the article; not discuss Jeff Hardy. Also, do your own research. Sometimes I feel like being nice and tell you guys anyway, but you could find the answer to that question on any random fansite. -- THL 14:59, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

To answer your question, Jeff was reportedly fired for his refusal to enter rehab and his deteriorating in ring work. User:Killswitch Engage

Please be a bit more civil Hybrid. Thank you. Lonelyboy 21:21, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] picture issue

Please remove this picture of Jeff Hardy in the locker room area. There are several great pictures of Jeff Hardy looking great in his ring attire, colorful hair, and all sorts of stuff, but someone has decided to put a picture in that looks like he's jsut woke up in the morning. It doesn't portray who Hardy is, with the goatte design, hair styles and colors, ring attire, etc. In fact, this doesn't even look like Jeff Hardy. It looks like Ryan Seacrest. Out! Lonelyboy 21:24, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

This picture is a free use image and free use images are always favored over fair-use ones. There are other images in the article that show Hardy's look. Also, Hybrid was not being incivil. In fact he was just stating the truth as at top of the talk page it says "this talk page is for discussing improvements for the Jeff Hardy article". This is not an open forum. -- Mikedk9109  (talk)  21:32, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

"Do your own research" is what Hybrid said to that user. And it really does not concern you or this area of the discussion page as it says "PICTURE ISSUE" above you. As I said, the picture doesn't even look like Jeff Hardy, but an ugly Ryan Seacrest or something. Please find something better. I'm begging you. For now, it should stay as the picture that looks like Jeff. Lonelyboy 21:39, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, it doesn't concern me? Your the one that butted into Hybrid's conversation in the first place, telling him to "be civil" when all he was doing was stating the truth. The free use picture has to stay. Its a good picture of Jeff, and if you replace the current free use picture with a fair-use one, then it will be considered vandalism. -- Mikedk9109  (talk)  21:44, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

Ok! I just wish there was a better picture of him is all. Also, please do not bring up Hybrid in less it's in that section of the discussion page. Lonelyboy 21:47, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

I was stating the Wikipedia policy about "do your own research before asking a question" in my own words. I was being civil enough. Now, for the picture. I echo the statement about the free use picture having to stay so that we don't break copywrite laws. Believe me, we are all pained by the superiority of the fair use pictures, but the law is the law. Just a quick question for you, this isn't an accusation or anything. Do the names "Twentyboy" or "Hungrygirl" mean anything to you? -- THLCCD 22:02, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

This is a free encyclopedia, and I can talk about what I want in what section of a talk page that I please. Just because Hybrid's statement was right makes you against him? I'm not going to listen to some sockpuppet that is only here to cause trouble. And that was an accusation, Twentyboy/Hungrygirl. Thank you.-- Mikedk9109  (talk)  22:05, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

Let's leave the entertaining to the wrestlers and leave the drama off of this objective encyclopedia. TY, kiddies. WiiAlbanyGirl 07:21, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tag team moves

Is there any reason why Hardy Boyz tag team moves sould be listed here and not just at the Hardy Boyz article? TJ Spyke 22:28, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

They are here because they are SIGNATURE moves that Jeff does, that happen to be done with Matt Hardy. Whats the point of having a finishing and signature moves section, if you aren't going to list all of his finishing and signature moves. TJ, I thank you for taking this to the talk page, and not just reverting it. -- Mikedk9109  (hit me up)  22:38, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
They aren't Jeff Hardy's finishing/signature moves though, they are the Hardy Boyz's finishing/signature moves. TJ Spyke 22:39, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
Jeff is a part of the Hardy Boyz. Plus, I have seen him do Poetry in Motion with other superstars like RVD and Bubba Ray Dudley. -- Mikedk9109  (hit me up)  22:41, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
I've also seen Jeff use the Poetry in Motion in singles competition using the referee. KonigBerserk 04:01, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
THAT I would love to see. Qubeh 11:37, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
I think i've seen him do that at least once, although not on a regular basis TJ Spyke 23:16, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Interesting fact...

I Googled Jill Hennessy tonight and went to the Internet Movie Database. From there I clicked the biography section, and I found something interesting. Jill shares the same three initials as Jeff, but her middle name is Noel while his is Nero. Do any of you admins think this is notable trivia? --WTGDMan1986 (D.F. "Jun Kazama Master" Williams) 03:46, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Two people having the same initials is not really notable IMO (unless they make a big deal of it, like when John Kerry was running for president and they said on multiple occasions that he had the same initials as John F. Kennedy). TJ Spyke 03:49, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
Yeah no offense due but thats really nothing to put as trivia I mean Australian Prime Minister John Howard, lets put that in there then, I mean like TJ said unless they make notes of it then tis worthless. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 211.29.7.60 (talk) 02:35, 3 January 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Vandalism

Someone keeps taking my addition off the page and I am sick of it. All I did was add his New Years Revolution Match. STOP Deleting It! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by AD Double J (talkcontribs) 06:02, 6 January 2007 (UTC).

WP:PW guidelines forbid adding future events to articles. Until the match happens, it cannot be mentioned in the article. That is why it keeps getting removed. -- The Hybrid 06:05, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Uhm Hybrid are u following me to every place I visit. That is a little CREEPY--AD Double J 06:47, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Every page that you edit is on my watchlist. If you look at page histories you will see that I was editing these pages before you ever joined Wikipedia. It is nothing but a coincidence. Cheers, -- The Hybrid 06:51, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Oooooo, how long have u been apart of wikipedia.org?--AD Double J 06:54, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Late May, and this is a conversation meant for our talk pages rather than the Jeff Hardy talk page. Cheers, -- The Hybrid 06:57, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Double J, maybe if you actually did some research and read up on some guidelines, and read warnings, then you would not be in this conversation right now. Future events are not allowed. Wikipedia is not a news site. Check out what wikipedia is not for more information. -- Mikedk9109  (hit me up)  23:22, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Artistic Pursuits

Under the heading Artistic Pursuits there is information about The Hardy Show and Jeff's appearance on Fear Factor. Can either of these really be considered artistic? Perhaps we should create a new heading such as Other Media for information like that. It could also include the tidbit about appearing on That 70's Show. Thoughts? Nikki311 17:27, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

I don't agree with this, because acting can be considered an art. I think it should stay as is. My vote is no. Sorry. WiiAlbanyGirl 07:19, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] MITB

The warning is right there, it says do not add announced matches that haven't occurred yet. Stop adding it in, it will just be reverted as vandalism since you are ignoring the warning that has been in there for months and applies to every wrestling bio article. TJ Spyke 00:43, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

But the match happened already, and it's important to add a win such as that. What's your problem with adding something important like that? Qubeh 23:42, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
The MITB match hasn't happened yet, so it can't be added. Qualifying matches are not important. TJ Spyke 23:45, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
That's more opinion, if anything, but so is what I said. Since I'm really not in the mood to argue with you, I'll go ahead and remove the same from other pages. Qubeh 23:53, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
The part about qualifying is opinion, but not about listing the MITB match. TJ Spyke 23:56, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
That's what I meant. Qubeh 00:09, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Oh, OK. TJ Spyke 00:20, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

I think it's safe to say that this case is closed since the match already happened, although it would be nice to see if someone would be able to find out if Adam Copeland and Jeff were really hurt. I'd like to find out. And what was with the edit saying "This is one of my pet peeves" --- Does anyone know what that means??? WiiAlbanyGirl 07:15, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Having "WrestleMania" linked as "Wrestlemania". It just bugs me because it's wrong and it's not hard to capitalize the "M". TJ Spyke 07:25, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] TWF

Just listening to a jeff hardy interview where he says that the TWF was actually called the trampoline wrestling federation Source Bencey 17:56, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Theme Music

Ummm, does any1 know what jeff hardy's theme music is? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.96.123.70 (talk • contribs).

It's the same music he and Matt used as a team for several years, I don't know the name (or really care to be honest). TJ Spyke 01:27, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Maybe it isn't up to you to necessarily care, but if you're going to write an encyclopedia article, I believe the appropriate entrance music should be included in the Wrestler's biography. If it was your personal encyclopedia, it would be one thing. It's best to find out as much info as possible for a well-written encyclopedia article, however. WiiAlbanyGirl 07:18, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

i knew what it was and how long theyve used it, i wanted to know the name—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.96.123.70 (talk • contribs).

  • I don't think it has any name except for "Jeff Hardy Theme Song" Talon Kelson 19:23, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
It's a production theme from Extreme Music. It's listed under their X-Series collection as "Loaded" by Zack Tempest. --  oakster  TALK  21:34, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
