Jeffrey Dean Morgan

Jeffrey Dean Morgan (born April 22, 1966 in Seattle, Washington) is an American actor, best known for playing Denny Duquette on Grey's Anatomy and John Winchester on Supernatural.

Most of Morgan's appearances have been on episodic television. Since 2000, he has amassed a number of credits in television shows such as ER, JAG, Walker, Texas Ranger, Angel, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Sliders, and Monk.
In the 2005-2006 television season, he simultaneously appeared in three television series:
- on the WB series Supernatural as John Winchester, the mysterious father of Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles)
- on the Showtime series Weeds as Judah Botwin, the deceased husband of Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker); and
- in a recurring role on ABC's Grey's Anatomy as heart transplant patient Denny Duquette, who carried on a relationship with intern Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl) and died in the show's second-season finale.
It was announced in May 2006 that Morgan has been cast in a new project by Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes. The project has since been delayed.
Morgan is also among the cast members that will star in a movie that's based on the Irish novelist Cecelia Aherns novel PS, I Love You. The movie is slated for release in 2007. Another 2007 film that he will be starring in is The Accidental Husband.

- Grey's Anatomy is set in Seattle, the city where Morgan was born.
- In the three shows that Jeffrey Dean Morgan was active in simultaneously (Grey's Anatomy, Supernatural, and Weeds), his characters died.
- He appeared in Sliders as the criminal Sid in the episode El Sid.
- He is currently dating Weeds co-star Mary-Louise Parker, who said that the relationship is "going great!". [1]
