[edit] Waste consumption

Please do not encourage the eating of such waste! —SlamDiego 09:32, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Reply

No problem with the archiving, most people don't even think or know about it right away. Your talk page was on my watchlist (which I almost never clear) from our exchange here, here, and here. I had just noticed that you received a graphic design barnstar and it caught my interest is all (it is always handy to remember who can do that kind of stuff). Good work, keep it up! Hopefully I'll run into you soon again (cuz that means your active, which is always good).--Joe Jklin (T C) 10:14, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] History of video game consoles (eighth generation)

two questions, cause i value your opinion above all others. 1. how’s it looking? i noticed you've helped me out with spelling, spacing, and some references. i as wondering if it looked like a legitimate wiki-article. 2. how much longer till i create the actual article? i would love to go ahead and create the article, but i don't want it tagged for deletion. do you think its almost ready, or ready, or still way far off? On a side note, could you go look at TouchLight? I created the article almost a week ago and it still hasn’t been tagged for having some problem. I’m worried I screwed up and only I can access it or something. Normally people mention all kinds of ways for me to improve my articles, but no one has said a thing about the TouchLight.

the edits you made are a big improvement. i think that with your citation of the wii2 it is good enough to remain. but you can never be sure. no one has tagged it yet, and normally my articles only last about two to three hours before they get tagged, if even that long.J.L.Main 04:06, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
the article has now been tagged for deletion. the guy wasn't very nice about it. normally they tell me its been tagged. but anyway, its has two votes for keeping it. i would appreciate it if you went and voted on it also, assuming that you vote to keep.J.L.Main 09:35, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
someone reposted the eighth gen article, could you go vote for it to be kept.J.L.Main 20:48, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Wii internet Wii Channels page.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Wii internet Wii Channels page.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Cardassian logo.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Cardassian logo.png. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 23:41, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] interwiki links

Hello, regardings your change in the Sega Master System article I just want to give you some information:

  1. Now Soumi (Finnish for "Finnish") is placed between Español and Français, same goes for Japanese, which is Nihi-something. So much for alphabetics here ...
  2. Your edit only rearanged meta-data, it hasn't improved the article quality.

Therefor your edit isn't useful and it "fills" the history - you shouldn't other edits of that kind. --32X 19:08, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use criteria

You truly need to read Wikipedia's policy on fair use images and all of the criteria needed for it to be here. This way you can avoid making comments like to you on this image. Roguegeek (talk) 00:38, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:AND Using NAND.png

Thank you for uploading Image:AND Using NAND.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. —Remember the dot (t) 00:59, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Wii launch

I've nominated Wii launch, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Wii launch satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wii launch and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Wii launch during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. BigHairRef | Talk 22:16, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding edits made to Japanese dialects

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Jecowa! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule \bexample\.com, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Shadowbot 21:53, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Sorry about that. I have to use Internet Explorer right now. I'll try to be more careful with it. Jecowa 23:17, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WP:Fire Service Image

I did not create it. Bobanny created it but wasn't sure how to make it transparent. He created it as jpg. I will chat with him and see what he can do. Thanks for the help Jecowa.--Daysleeper47 21:54, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Also, how do I reconcile the fact that I created an image with the same name only on en.wiki which is different from the one which Bobanny created? When I apply the image to articles, the en.wiki image appears, not the Commons image. Can we delete the one I uploaded? --Daysleeper47 21:54, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for all the help. I really appreciate it. --Daysleeper47 22:13, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ryukyu macrons

Thank you for following behind me and fixing my errors regarding the macrons in "Ryukyu"; I apologize to make you bother - I of course should be getting this right the first time on my own. Having been fairly active in the debate over it, I am a bit embarrassed to admit that I never quite followed what the actual final consensus was - thus these mistakes.

I think, if I have it right now, macrons are okay in Ryūkyū Kingdom, but not in Ryukyu Islands or Ryukyuan language or people. Is that basically it? If you could explain it out briefly, or point me to the decision/consensus/guideline, I'd appreciate it. LordAmeth 17:45, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Never mind. I just found the thread from yesterday on the subject. Thanks again. LordAmeth 17:48, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Whether oppose or support, please lend your voice so we can move on from this phase in the argument (the talk page is now up to 120Kb after a month of arguing). [edit] Protection to user page

Hi!

I need your help. (You sent me a welcome message at my talk page). I would like to protect my user page from a possible vandalisation. I mean, admins still can edit my page, but not unregistered user or non-admin. I hope you could help me, as I want to edit a page, but I might not have a good history with one of the editor in real life (I was in the same school). So just in case he/she want to vandalise mine (s/he is unregistered), I am protected from possible embarrasement I caused when I was at that school. Please reply to my talk page if possible. Thanks --w_tanoto 18:31, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

Hi. Thanks for your respond. I think I better edit the page that I want to edit, and see if vandalism occur from that. If so, I'll do what you suggest me. Thanks--w_tanoto 20:22, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Watch pages 2-5

Watch pages 2-4 are pages that I want to give further attention to, much like watch1, just sorted by date rather than what needs to be fixed.

Watch5 is just a list of pages I'm interested in. I use my actual account watchlist to help generate the lists on 1-4 so it would be difficult to keep them there.

Unfortunately, these lists are not generated automatically. I'm endlessly clicking on each link on the "new pages" list, and when I see a page with a "problem" I just add it to my watchlist, then after I've looked at a whole day's worth of new pages, I format the list and put in on Watch4 (this is the page that always gets the newest data at the moment), then clear my watchlist for a new day's worth of data.

What will often happen with the links on these pages though, is that someone else will make the corrections before I get to them (because all my time is used up generating the lists), and the links will remain even though the problem has been corrected. If you want to click through on some of these links and do some fixes, feel free to do so, but please do not remove the links from my watch pages. I will clean those up as soon as I catch up on the lists. CG janitor 05:45, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Awards

There are three proposals which need some comments. Please weigh in:

Two of the three are sensitive, and thuglas is taking the whole process personally. Finally, there has never been a standard for how much support is needed for the creation of a barnstar. The LGBT star went up with seven votes, and thuglas is threatening to post his star when he gets ten supportive votes. Thoughts? --evrik (talk)

[edit] Additions in the List of palettes article

Hello, I did some improvements to the article List of palettes, that I think you will find fine, I hope. There are new hardware palettes for Amstrad CPC, MSX and MSX2, and the full combinations of the CGA palettes.

In addition, I put some common software palettes, among them the famous web palette.

I was a professional videogames programmer and graphic designer in the last 80's and early 90's, and I have a lot of info and background on the matter. Some machines I worked with: Sinclair ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC series, MSX, Commodore C-64, Atari ST, Commodore Amiga, and IBM PC with Hercules, CGA, EGA, VGA, SVGA (256 and 32768 colors) and AT&T Vista, among others. You can find my profile in internet.

[edit] One of your images substituted in the List of palettes article

Hello. I replaced your hi-res Gameboy palette Parrot2bit_gb.png with a 120 pixels-height one. This for two reasons: a) your 750×1002 pixel was very big for a 188 thumbnail, without offering greater detail, and b) the 120 pixel size is just the resolution of the Gameboy display. I hope this do not distub you anyway.Ricardo Cancho Niemietz 14:17, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
