[edit] Criteria for needing copyright release?

It seems that this article has been deleted twice before for copying her bio from her website - something I didn't see before writing it again, mostly based on the info on her website. I've done some additional checking (ISOC BoT minutes, for instance), used my own words for the facts, and added in some more info from other sources. But at what point do we pass from "taking information from a page" (OK) and "copying from a page" (not OK)? Guidance appreciated. --Alvestrand 07:20, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Y'all Are {insert explicitive here} whacked!

There is no copyright infringement when the person who WROTE the damn thing directly gives one PERMISSION to use something ......

Wikipedia is a clear example of how too many cooks can spoil the broth ......

A true pity

[edit] "Surfing the Internet"

Someone took out the sentence crediting her with coining the "surfing the Internet" phrase. I think that's well documented and widely credited, so I restored it. --Alvestrand 06:40, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
