Jeanne de Valois, Queen of Navarre

Jeanne de Valois, or Joan of France (June 24, 1343, Chateauneuf-en-Loire - November 3, 1373, Évreux), was the daughter of John II of France (called The Good), and his first wife, Bonne of Luxembourg. She married Charles II of Navarre (called The Bad), and became Queen-consort of Navarre.
She was married to Charles the Bad in February 1352, at Chateau du Vivier, close to Fontenay-Trésigny in Brie. He was her second cousin. They had:
- Marie, born in 1360, married in 1393 in Alphonso of Aragon (d.1412), duke of Gandie
- Charles III the Noble (1361 - 1425), king of Navarre
- Philippe, born in 1364, died young
- Pierre (1366 - 1412), Count of Mortain
- Jeanne (1370 - 1437), married first John V of Brittany (1340 - 1399)in 1386, then Henry IV of England (1367 - 1413)in 1403
- Blanche died at age 13
- Bonne, predeceased her father
- Isabelle, joined the nunnery of Santa-Clara at Estella (Navarre)
