Jean Philippe Peguero (born September 29, 1981) is a Haïtian football (soccer) player, who currently plays as a forward for Brøndby IF in the Danish Superliga championship. He was born in Port-de-Paix, Haïti.

Peguero is also a significant force on the Haïtian national team, having appeared for the side 10 times, as well as an additional nine for the U-23 team.

[edit] Biography

Peguero started with Haïtian club Don Bosco FC, before moving to the American Major League Soccer championship in March 2004 to play for the Colorado Rapids. Peguero finished his first season with the Rapids with seven goals and four assists in only 18 games. In his second season, he scored seven goals and had six assists before the Rapids traded Peguero to Red Bull New York in April 2006 for Thiago Martins. Peguero scored six goals in 12 games for Red Bull New York, in addition to two goals in a friendly match against German team Bayern Munich.

In July 2006, he was transferred to Danish Superliga club Brøndby IF. On the 5th of August 2006, Peguero scored a goal in his debut for Brøndby; the third goal in a 3-0 win over AC Horsens. However, in a match against Viborg FF on August 20, Peguero ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament in his right knee as he scored Brøndby's third goal in the 3-0 win. It is estimated that his recovery will last 7 to 8 months.[1]
