Jean II Makoun (born May 29, 1983) is a Cameroonian football player who plays for Lille OSC as a midfielder.

He was part of the Cameroonian 2004 African Nations Cup team, who finished top of their group in the first round of competition, before failing to secure qualification for the semi-finals.

In April 2006, it was revealed that Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was considering a £5 million bid for the Cameroonian. Makoun said that he would love to play for Manchester United; however, the deal looks unlikely to go through as Lille is demanding a large transfer fee.[1]
