Jean Lyon, Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne

Jean Lyon nee Nicholsen (September 22, 1713 - April 22, 1778) was the Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne and the wife of Thomas Lyon, 8th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne and one of the ancestors of the Queen Mother. The couple were married on July 20, 1736, in Houghton le Spring in Durham, England and had seven children:

  • Susan
  • Anne
  • Jane

She died on April 22, 1778 in Hetton le Hole, County Durham, England.
