Jean Georg Haffner (1777 in Alsace - 1830 in Sopot) was the founder of the spa located in Sopot. He was garrisoned in Free City of Danzig 1808 serving as a medicine doctor of Napoleon's Grande Armee. In 1823 he found private bath in Sopot acting on the request from the authorities.
