Jean-Paul Civeyrac

Jean-Paul Civeyrac (born December 24, 1964) is a French director whose films are usually characterized by a great attention to the music and the Actor’s bodies. He has recently adapted a French novel by Anne Wiazemsky, Hymnes à l’amour, with the title All the fine promises (2003). This movie was awarded by The Prix Jean Vigo 2003

Jean-Paul Civeyrac is professor at French School La Femis and he is graduated from the University Lyon III (philosophy).

Jean-Paul Civeyrac is a great revealer of young actresses and actors :

He is considered one of the excellent young French fllm directors in the new “New Wave” in French cinema such as Yves Caumon, Philippe Ramos, and François Ozon.

His movie À travers la forêt was presented at Festival Paris Cinéma (July 2, 2005) and at Toronto International Film Festival 2005 September.
