Jean-Michel Dubernard

Jean-Michel Dubernard is a medical doctor specializing in transplant surgery, as well as a Deputy in the current French National Assembly.

Dr. Dubernard is most famous for performing the first successful hand transplant on Clint Hallam on September 23, 1998, the first successful double hand transplant shortly thereafter (but not announced until January 14, 2004), and the first partial face transplant on Isabelle Dinoire on November 27, 2005.
