Jean-Michel Byron
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jean-Michel Byron (born Byron DuPlessis) was the South African born lead vocalist for Los Angeles rock legends Toto for their Past to Present project. Disliked by many Toto traditionalists for his bizarre stage antics and fey manner, Byron was basically phased out of the "Toto Live in Paris 1990" VHS they did and is only seen singing one song (eventhough he sang the majority of the show ) and was eventually dismissed from the band after the tour.
Regardless, the four tracks in which Byron contributed lead vocals to remain strong tracks and are true to the Toto sound. These tracks include "Love Has The Power", "Out Of Love", "Can You Hear What I'm Saying?", and "Animal". Music videos were shot for the two middle tracks.
