While it is safe to use Luke Ford's photos on wikipedia, there are not licensed under the GDFL. You need to tag the photos as being licensed under the Creative Commons license; as well, you would be wise to provide a link to my archive of the emails I traded with Luke as proof that the photos are cc-by-2.5 licensed.
