Jonathan Christopher Lucey, better known by his initials and stage name, JCL, is a musician, rapper, sound engineer and producer from England, UK. He was born on the 26th July 1987.

JCL's latest album, 'Journeys Thru Samsara' was released on 1st June 2006 under both the Equanimity Records and Karuna Entertainment labels and. It features guest appearances by rappers Subliminal, Mr. Phlo and English Pride, and singers Damyan, Prady and Soenam Dorje.
JCL's first album to gain any significant recognition was the album before, titled 'Neo Hippy Music', released July 2005 under the Equanimity Records label. The origins of this name are unclear, but it is believed to be derived from a nickname given to him by fellow rapper NV, who features heavily on this album. It also features guest appearances from Subliminal, Eby, RedRum, Martin Watts, Andy Guy and Jackal.
There were several JCL releases previous to these two albums, including many albums, EPs and mixtapes, but they failed to get any recognition, and as a result are now rather difficult to come by.
