[edit] VCSU

Thanks for contacting me. Looking through the history of the VCSU article, the material that you are referring to was actually edited out by Alexwcovington (talk contribs). I would suggest you contact him and ask him specifically why he edited the way he did. If you look through the article's history, you will see that most of my edits have been cosmetic (grammar, punctuation, etc.) in nature. As far as this article's size in relation to other NDUS articles, there is obviously no real reason for that. It is simply the case that no one has put in the effort to expand this article in an encyclopedic manner. I am one of the most active ND editors on Wikipedia and, as a UND student, I would obviously be very interested in (and capable of) editing the UND article. Since I'm also quite familiar with the Fargo/NDSU community, I have also worked on that article some. I have very little knowledge pertaining to VCSU so I'm not able to add very much to the article. --MatthewUND(talk) 21:04, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My edits

The main reasoning behind my edits were to clean the article up and focus on key academic information, without burdening the article with detail available at the VCSU website or other sources. I also did major cleanup on the Mayville State University page at about the same time, and for the same reason.

The most significant advice I can give is to take a step back and maintain a neutral tone to the article, without being needlessly praiseful. I haven't had much experience with VCSU myself, so the best I can really do in editing this article is that sort of thing; It's folks like you that have most of the actual information.

If you're looking for a specific suggestion (which you can feel free to ignore)... At this point, the article could probably use some historical background like the Mayville page has; or, if you could provide an images of the campus, the school logo, or similar media that meets the Wikipedia licencing needs, it would certainly be a major help as well. --AlexWCovington (talk) 02:10, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
