[edit] Mr. O 2006
What ya reckon, deserving? I was just looking at a vid of the prejudging here and to be honest from that vid Ronnie looks in better shape! (IMHO) - not that a low res vid on a website can really tell ya a thing Glen 21:23, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Holy hell lookie at these arms... Glen 21:26, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Can't agree. I was there - 12 rows back and Jay smoked Ronnie. Coleman was a mess - reminded me a lot of Dorians last year. Cutler was flawless - it would have taken Ronnies all-time best that night and he was nowhere close. Yankees76 05:54, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

- Dont get me wrong bud, I wasnt expressing an opinion - more asking a question based on that shitty video. Well there you have it, youtube schmotube :) Knocking off a, what, how many Os has Ronnie won in a row reigning champ isnt done by just barely beating them either. He must of wiped the floor with the guy!

- Thats great as I havent attended an Olympia since Ronnie's second or third win just because its almost predetermined... 2007 here I come! Glen 07:18, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- No worries. Pics and video sometimes aren't as good as the real thing - especially in this sport. I like Ronnie, but his defeat was legit. I'll be there in 2007 too. :) Yankees76 15:32, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Height
I doubt it's 5'9". That's his "Muscle tech" height used by the company to advertise. I believe he's probably about 5'7".Wikidudeman 17:32, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
- His "Muscletech height"? LOL Okay. Now I've heard everything! Got any other consiparcy theories you'd like to share? Do a Google search or better yet, open a magzine (FLEX September 2003 article "The Hunt for Mr. October" - before he started appearing in Muscletech ads - will do). He's 5'9". Yankees76 19:22, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
-
- It's a known fact that the IFBB overblows the heights of it's competitors as do the competitors themselves. Forget muscle tech. (It actually says he's 5'10") I know people who have met Cutler and he isn't 5'9". Wikidudeman 11:10, 30 December 2006

- It's a known fact? No offense, but that's such a load of crap. Your IFBB conspiracy theories are good for a laugh and that's it. And wow you know people who've met Cutler - I've seen him numerous times (as recently as 3 weeks ago), and he's 5'9" - easy. You should try getting out to a show sometime. - Your abrasive tone of posting and your violation of assuming good faith casts doubt on any of your assertions. If you believe the heights published by Flex magazine or the IFBB then you're more gullible than the Republicans. Wikidudeman 19:09, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- The how about you spare us the original research and POV and provide some verifiable sources for your claims? You can start with your "MuscleTech height claim", then provide one that says the "IFBB overblows the heights of it's competitors", and finally, provide one that says Cutler is 5'7". Otherwise this conversation is over. Yankees76 19:15, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

- Also, while you're at it, please review WP:LIVING, particularly the paragraph that mentions Unsourced or poorly sourced controversial (negative, positive, or just highly questionable) material about living persons should be removed immediately from Wikipedia articles, talk pages, and user pages. Implying that Jay Cutler and the IFBB fabricates his height surely can't be in Wikipedia's best interest. Yankees76 19:46, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

- Ignoring the fact that you don't even have a source for his height. Numerous websites list his height differently. Brining into question his true height. This website for example [[1]] lists his height as 5'10". So does this one [[2]]. This basically supports my "muscle tech height" assertion. His height fluctuates from website to website and therefore listing one single height for him isn't reliable. The fact of the matter is you don't know what his height is and any sources you do provide will be unreliable.Wikidudeman 21:05, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- Perhaps that's why the height listed on his official website[3] is the one used in the article. Secondly, articles should rely on reliable, third-party published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy - since Flex also lists Jay as 5'9" (in a number of issues, as well as online) - matching his official site, 5'9" is considered verifiable. Showing a few instances where a third-party website (both commercial sites in the two examples above - neither of which has a declared editorial policy/editorial oversight as per WP:RS) deviates from that shows only that a few sites have errors on them. [edit] Toppled a reigning Mister O
Is it worth mentioning that he is the first person to defeat a reigning mister Olympia in over 20 years? The last time was when Lee Haney beat Samir Banout in 1984.
[edit] steroids
no talk here of Cutlers obvious use of drugs to attain the size he has. why? does anyone have anything on this? Keltik31 17:41, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- Probably because it's assumed that every IFBB pro uses steroids, but we have no actual proof. Frankg 23:39, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
-
- Most IFBB professional bodybuilders would state outright that they use Anabolic Steroids if they were asked by someone within the bodybuilding community. Lee Priest for example is very open about his steroid use and even talks about his steroid cycles.[[4]] Some IFBB Bodybuilders are more open about their steroid use than others are. However very rarely do they claim they are natural, because they know that they would get laughed at in the bodybuilding community. So in conclusion, We really can't say anything about his steroid use unless he actually asserts to of used steroids because of wikipedia policy on living biographies.Wikidudeman (talk) 03:58, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
