Jaye Michael Davis

Jaye Michael Davis (born Preston Moore) was an American radio deejay. He had been the voice of Memphis's WDIA-AM since 1977. WDIA was the first radio station in the United States entirely programmed by African Americans.

He had also been a deputy with the Shelby County Sheriff's Department since 1994 and served in the fugitive division on the midnight shift.

Davis was killed in a motorcycle accident near Tunica, Mississippi on July 1, 2006.
