Born in Toronto in 1982, Jay Solomon is best known for his work on schoolyard bullying.[1] At the age of seventeen, Solomon began speaking out against bullying.[2] Always willing to speak his mind, Solomon is regularly interviewed by various local and national media,[3]. His initiatives have received critical acclaim and have been featured by countless media outlets, including: CityTV , CFTO/CTV, VRLand, Canadian Living Television, TVOntario, CFRB 1010, Rogers Cable, KISS 92FM, CTS/PAX, The Canadian Jewish News, the Toronto Star, and the Town Crier. Solomon has worked with such organizations as the Canadian Initiative for the Prevention of Bullying,[4] where he served as Youth Coordinator for three years. Solomon is also a freelance writer who has published articles[5] in pop-culture, as well as scholary publications.

From 2004-2006, Solomon ran an online magazine called Right2Express, which gave young writers an opportunity to have their written work published.[6] Right2Express gained a dedicated following of young writers.

From time-to-time, Solomon can also be seen guest-hosting Swap Shop on Rogers Television.

Solomon is a former Senator of York University[7] and currently the Vice President External of the Canadian Federation of Jewish Students.[8] In addition, he sits on the Board of Directors of Hillel GTA.[9]
