[edit] Early career

Is a Defender for Essendon but his beginnings were in South Australia, where he played for the Central District club.

He was in the 2003 Draft, selection 28.

Arriving at Windy Hill he played in the Bendigo Bombers as all rookies do, but was anxious for when his senior debut would arrive.

[edit] AFL Debut

Wearing the No. 38 Guernsey, Nash's debut though eagerly anticipated, was unexpected to both he and fans.

It was Round 16 against Collingwood in 2005 and a crowd of over 52,000 had gathered at the MCG, star defender Andrew Welsh was unable to take his place on the field. Nash was called in to replace him only hours before the match was scheduled to begin, if that wasn’t the only surprise, he was lined up against Collingwood's champion and captain Nathan Buckley who polled the 3 Brownlow Medal votes in that game.

[edit] 2006 season

His season has looked promising and his confidence in the game growing, playing in 7 games and kicking a single goal.
