Jay Mullen

Jay Mullen (born Jason Michael Mullen on 26 February 1982), in Sunderland, England) is a British actor. Mullen attended his first acting class in 1998 and has since attended several drama schools and workshops. He began his career in musical theatre playing roles such as Danny Zucko (Grease) and Edward Lyons (Blood Brothers), and as Michael Williams in Shakespeare's Henry V and Rosencrantz in Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead.

Mullen is also a writer and has penned two theatre productions, The Madhatter's Tea Party (based on characters from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland) and Inadequates. Mullen wrote, starred in and directed his first short film Ed and Dave: Bored Stupid, based upon characters from his play Inadequates, in 2003 (co-starring Mic Harrison). A film adaptation of the stage play Inadequates has since been announced.

Mullen has recently finished a tour with a national theatre company and is currently co-writing the screenplay for the Inadequates film.
