Jay Harrison

Jay Harrison (born November 3, 1982 in Oshawa, Ontario) is a professional ice hockey defenceman who currently plays in the organization of the Toronto Marlies of the AHL.

Harrison was the first player chosen in the 1998 OHL draft by the Brampton Battalion. During his junior career, Harrison played more than 240 games for the Battalion, and played for Canada on two occasions. He was part of the silver medal winning team at the 2002 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.

He was drafted into the NHL by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the fourth round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Since being drafted, Harrison has spent most of his time with the Leafs AHL affiliates, first with the St. John's Maple Leafs and more recently with the Toronto Marlies.

Harrison made his NHL debut on January 28, 2006 with the Leafs. He would go on to play 8 games total in the NHL during the 2005-06 NHL season.
