Javier de Pedro
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Francisco) Javier de Pedro (born August 4, 1973 in Logroño, Spain) is a Spanish football player.
He joined Blackburn Rovers F.C. from Real Sociedad on July 1, 2004, having scored eleven goals at Sociedad, after he had rejected moving to several teams in Spain itself. Although he had wished to join in January, the attempt to sign him had been thwarted.
De Pedro made his debut for the club on August 14, 2004, a 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion, before being substituted by Tugay for the second half of the match.
De Pedro played for Spain in the 2002 World Cup, but his last cap came in 2003. On January 31 2005 de Pedro was released on a free transfer by Blackburn and signed for Perugia where he played only a few matches before joining Swedish club IFK Göteborg, which he left after only a few days due to personal reasons. Since September 2006 he plays in Burgos CF.
