[edit] Jason Quartermaine

Born into privilege as Jason Quartermaine, he was the biological son of Dr. Alan Quartermaine (deceased) and his mistress Susan Moore (deceased). He was however raised by his father and adoptive mother Dr. Monica Quartermaine. At first Monica didn't want him in her house, but came to love him just as much as her son AJ. Labeled "the golden boy", he was the family favorite, and always overshadowed his brother A.J., which put a lot of strain on their relationship. Jason enjoyed several teenage flings, particularly with Karen Wexler and Keesha Ward, to whom he lost his virginity during spring break in Paris, but he never noticed classmate Robin Scorpio, who harbored a big crush on him. He was a pre-med student who planned to follow in the footsteps of his parents.

[edit] Jason Morgan

Jason's life was changed forever when he suffered permanent brain damage while trying to stop A.J. from driving drunk. After the accident he remembered nothing of his old life, and renamed himself Jason Morgan, using the maiden of Alan's mother, Lila Morgan Quartermaine. He remained close to his grandmother Lila and his sister Emily. Renouncing his family, he became the henchman of mob boss Sonny Corinthos and discovered that he was quite good at killing. He became a Roman Catholic because Sonny was a practitioner of that faith, even though Jason Quartermaine had been raised Episcopalian.

He fell for Robin Scorpio while pursing a sexual relationship with Carly Roberts. Even though he loved Robin, Jason felt a connection to Carly, and when Carly discovered she was pregnant, he pretended to be the father to keep the baby Michael away from his real father, Jason's brother A.J. Thinking that she was helping, Robin betrayed Jason by revealing the truth about Michael's paternity, and Jason broke up with her. Devastated by his choice, Robin moved to Paris, and Jason was left to help Carly fight to keep custody of Michael. During this time, Jason was working as a mob enforcer for Sonny Corinthos, a mob boss in Port Charles. He befriended young Elizabeth Webber, who was suffering her own loss at the time so the two bonded and became close. Under the mistaken belief that Jason was involved with Elizabeth Webber, Carly slept with Sonny. Jason who had been falling back in love with Carly found the two of them together and left Port Charles.

Eventually he returned and resumed his friendship with all involved. Jason and Sonny had a deep, mutual respect for one another, and when Sonny and Carly fell in love, Jason was a witness at their wedding. Shortly afterward, he again left Port Charles.

Jason returned again in 2001, and started to show his feelings for Elizabeth. He stayed at her art studio, to prevent anyone knowing he was back in town. Elizabeth got back together with her boyfriend, Lucky, at that time. When Lucky found out Elizabeth had been lying to him about keeping Jason at her studio, he became very jealous and ordered her to stay away from Jason. Elizabeth, confused over her love for Lucky, obeyed him and tried her best to stay away from Jason, but when she had any problems, still found that she could only trust and confide in Jason. Elizabeth started developing feelings for Jason, and they finally admitted it to one another. When Elizabeth tried to tell the news to her boyfriend, it turned ugly, and Lucky tried to attack Jason. Jason asked Elizabeth to join him when he again left Port Charles, but Elizabeth broke his heart by saying that she had to stay in Port Charles to be with Lucky.

In 2002, Jason returned to Port Charles, and immediately fell back into his old ways. He and Elizabeth remained close and after a lot of heartache decided that they wanted to start a relationship together. The relationship didn't get off to a start because Jason helped Sonny fake his death and never told Elizabeth the truth, causing Elizabeth to walk out on him.

Sonny then had Jason watch over Sonny's half-sister Courtney Matthews while she was being stalked by her husband, AJ Quartermaine. This caused the two to start to have feelings for each other. But there relationship was kept a secret because of Jason's surprise marriage to Brenda Barrett and their fear of Sonny's disapproval.

Jason was briefly married to Brenda Barrett, but it was not a love match, in fact, the two despised each other. Jason and Brenda got married so that the courts could not force them to testify against one another in the case of the murder of Luis Alcazar. The couple was found guilty, but were later exonerated when their own lawyer, Alexis Davis, confessed to the murder.

Jason and Brenda's marriage was later annulled, leaving Jason and Courtney free to love each other. Their union caused a rift between Jason and his boss, Sonny. Sonny fired him, and he and Courtney decided to work on their relationship. Their relationship was tumultuous at best, and before they could marry, Courtney was kidnapped several times. She became pregnant with their first child. However, she kept the baby a secret from Jason so he could focus on rescuing a kidnapped Carly. After following Jason to Bolivia where Carly was being held Courtney suffered a miscarriage when she jumped off of a boat. It wasn't until after Jason and Courtney returned home that she told him about the baby that she lost. Jason tried to help her through the loss, but was unsure of how to, since he'd never had a chance to get used to the idea. This strained their relationship, but eventually Jason and Courtney married in a ceremony in France. Their happiness was short-lived, however, and after many ups and downs, Jason and Courtney divorced; although he later admitted that he still loved her, and vice-versa. Years later, it came out that Courtney was never legally divorced from AJ, causing Jason's marriage to Courtney to be invalid.

After their divorce, Jason found himself again playing knight in shining armor - this time to a very unlikely damsel in distress - Sonny's mistress Samantha "Sam" McCall. Sam moved in with Jason, after Sonny decided to reunite with his then-wife Carly. Jason and Sam bonded over Sam's pregnancy, but in November 2004 the child was stillborn. Jason helped Sam through the grief, and asked her to move back in with him, to pursue a relationship. After one year of dating, In November 2005, they became engaged.

[edit] Recent storyline

In May 2006, Sam was shot by one of Jason's enemies. After receiving continuous blame for Sam's near-fatal shooting, Jason broke up with her just as she regained consciousness; fearing that his lifestyle was too dangerous for her. Then after pushing Sam away for months, Jason was considering getting back together with her, until he saw Sam having sex with her stepfather, Ric Lansing. Jason was heartbroken and then turned to an old friend Elizabeth Webber Spencer. They slept together that night for the first time. After her one-night stand with Jason and brief reconciliation with Lucky, Elizabeth learned that she was pregnant.

Elizabeth took a paternity test, but kept the results concealed and let everyone believe that the baby's father was Lucky. Jason got back together with Sam, and they live together in Harbor View Towers, penthouse #2. A few months later, during the February 2007 sweeps, the Metro Court Hotel was taken over by Mr. Craig and several masked henchmen. Among the hostages were Jason's sister Emily, father Alan, first love Robin, girlfriend Sam, boss Sonny & his wife Carly, and a very pregnant Elizabeth. Fearing for his loved ones, Jason enlisted the help of hacker Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) to break into the Hotel.Stone cold as spinelli calls him. Going under-cover as one of the masked men, Jason helped his ailing estranged father out of the hotel, and then returned to try and rescue the others. He tried to get Lulu Spencer to sneak out of the hotel with Spinelli but they were caught. A few hours later when the police charged the lobby and chaos erupted, Jason swept up Elizabeth Webber in his arms and they found temporary shelter in a trapped elevator where she revealed to him that he was the father of her baby.

Recently, Jason is mourning of the death of his father, Alan Quartermaine and dealing with the fact that he will not be a part of his child's life.

He is currently torn between his responsibilities to his child and its mother's wish to raise it with her husband, Lucky Spencer. He is still in-love with longtime girlfriend Sam McCall, but her revelation that she is infertile after taking a bullet meant for him, her new job as host of Everyday Heroes, and the fact that he's keeping the secret of the paternity of Elizabeth's baby from her has strained the relationship.
