Jason McLaughlin (soccer)

Jason McLaughlin (born April 14, 1982) is an American soccer player. He is a regular outside midfielder and forward-positioned player.

He joined the Atlanta Silverbacks from the Augusta Fireball in 2005, having attended the University of Alabama. During 2005, he scored five goals and gained two assists, finishing third in the team on points, having tallied 15 goals and 13 assists while with his university team, University of Alabama.

However, on January 11, 2007, it was announced that the Montreal Impact had purchased both Fabian Dawkins and McLaughlin in a direct swap with Mauricio Salles and Daniel Antoniuk.^[1] Impact's coach, Nick De Santis, said "McLaughlin is a versatile player that can play as forward or right midfielder. He is strong physically and has a great work rate. He constantly created problems for us when we played against Atlanta last year".^[2]

McLaughlin is 6'0" tall and weighs 180 lbs.
