Jason Jones (politician)

Jason Jones is a resident of the state of Louisiana, and is the current elected chair of the National Lavender Greens Caucus, the official voice of LGBTIQ people within the Green Party of the United States.
He served as the Louisiana State Coordinator for the Ralph Nader/Peter Camejo ticket during the 2004 presidential campaign and worked actively to get the official Green Party David Cobb/Pat LaMarche ticket on the ballot in that state, as well. He has worked with different groups around Louisiana on opposing an anti-gay ballot measure, on anti-war issues, women\'s health, reproductive freedom, contraceptive equity, and healthcare in general, as well as having coordinated educational events for the ACLU of Louisiana and Planned Parenthood of Louisiana and the Mississippi Delta. He also wrote on Green/progressive issues, particularly on the LGBTIQ community, for the Northwest region\'s largest newspaper for approximately one year.[1]

Jason Jones is also a member of the International Public Debate Association and won the Novice Division National Championship in March of 2005. He currently acts as an IPDA judge and competitor in the Open Division for Lousiana State University - Shreveport.
