Jaroslav Štúň

Jaroslav Štúň (born February 26th, 1951) is a Slovak chess author and composer, with more than 170 chess works published to date.
Jaroslav Štúň was born in Snina, an eastern Slovakia's small town. He graduated from engineering highschool with chemical-technological specialization in Humenné and continued his studies of pharmacy on Comenius University in Bratislava
Currently he's working as a pharmaceutist in Snina.
He started his chess career with first published problem in Vychodoslovenske noviny in 1968. Since then, he became an active chess composer, focusing primarily on Fairy chess problems.
