- Ina Nobuo Award, a photography award. A stupid WP rule would force us to write Ina's name back to front, as "Nobuo Ina", but "Ina Nobuo Award", not "Nobuo Ina Award", seems to be the established English name. NB I've purposely left one name, 尹冑榮, as is. The photographer is Korean and I'll ask about it in a Korean forum. -- Hoary 08:13, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

- Actually, since the name is used in the title of an award, it's fine to use the Japanese wording. Also, since it's established in English the way you have it, that makes it doubly fine. (^_^) --日本穣 01:17, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

- Domon Ken Award and Kimura Ihei Award, the two photographic awards that attract by far the most attention in the Japanese popular press. (Personally I'm underwhelmed by most of the work that wins the latter, but this is by the way.) I understand that an [expletives deleted] WP policy dictates that people should be named backwards (thus "Ken Domon" and "Ihei Kimura"), but I've seen "Domon Ken Award" and "Kimura Ihei Award" in English contexts and think that these are the official English terms. (Moreover, I read the latter in an English-language article published by Asahi Shimbun Co., which is the sponsor.] Incidentally, the coverage by WP of Japanese photography is wretched; no article on Domon, Kimura, Shinoyama, Toumatsu, etc etc.; though there is a good article on Ueno Hikoma (aha, not named backwards!).
