Japhet N'Doram

Japhet N'Doram, (born on February 27, 1966 in Ndjamena) is a Chadian former footballer who played as a striker. He was nicknamed 'The Wizard' during his playing career [1].

Beginning his career at local side Tourbillon FC N'Djamena his skills secured him a move to Tonnerre Yaoundé, one of the biggest clubs in Sub-Saharan Africa. His goalscoring prowess in Cameroon attracted the attentions of European scouts and he eventually secured a move to France.

He played for FC Nantes in France, and he scored many important goals, becoming something of a cult hero at la Beaujoire. Some significant goals included the club's 2000th goal in the Ligue 1 or the winning goal in the return match of the Champions League against Juventus, which nantes won 3-2. He won a French championship medal with Nantes in 1995.

He continued his career with AS Monaco, but retired as a player in 1998 following a persistent injury sustained during a match against Nantes. He then joined the technical staff of Monaco as a scout. He reunited with FC Nantes on June 28, 2005, when he replaced Robert Budzynski as sporting director.

He played 12 matches and scored 2 goals for the Chadian national team, although the team played only rarely during his hey-day.
