IMDb profile |
Japanese Devils (or Riben Guizi) is a Japanese documentary about the atrocities committed by the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. The horrific stories were retold by retired Japanese soldiers in their eighties, such as Shinozuka Yoshio. Since the film presented historical facts different from that written in Japanese textbooks, many controversies were stirred up in Japan. (In China, some Chinese use Riben Guizi as term of disparagement.)
