Hi Janipewter, I enjoyed your article about your computer Ghostserv and found it genuinely funny. However I don't think it should be on the Wikipedia. I've asked for the admins to look at deleting it. I hope this does not put you off writing here - and I mean you no offence. PeterGrecian 17:59, 2 December 2005 (UTC)

The image in GhostServ, Image:Dxdiag.jpg, has no information on its source. If no source information is provided within the next seven days, the image will be deleted without further notice. I'm sorry to be so harsh, but that's the policy. Ingoolemo talk 18:10, 2 December 2005 (UTC)

Oh, and by the way,

[edit] Welcome

Welcome to Wikipedia! It's always a pleasure to have another editor join — we can never have too many good editors.

Some useful stuff/Things to remember:

  • The five pillars of Wikipedia: Our most important principles and philosophies. Or if you're interested in specific polices, see our Policies and Guidelines page.
  • Open tasks: These are important things that aren't getting done. We need your help with them.
  • Tutorial: What you need to know about editing pages.
  • Test area: If you need to test an edit but don't want to perform the test on an article.
  • If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk, or leave me a note on my talk page.
  • Manual of Style: Suggested content standards.
  • Always Always Always try to maintain neutrality in your contributions.
  • Try not to be anonymous. Sign your comment (like I did this one), by using the tilde '~' symbol: add four tildes (~~~~) to the end of a post to leave your username and the timestamp.
  • Be bold in editing pages.
  • The Wikipedia Signpost: Wikipedia's community newspaper.
  • A happy editor is always successful. Have fun!

Cheers and good luck, Ingoolemo talk 18:10, 2 December 2005 (UTC)

I'm not sure if you know, but when you leave a message on a talk page, if you add it to your watchlist, you'll be able to track all the replies. — JeremyTalk 01:34, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Cityplym logo.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Cityplym logo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
