Janysh Bakiyev is the former First Deputy Chairman of the National Security Service in the Government of Kyrgyzstan and the younger brother of President Kurmanbek Bakiyev.[1]

Dooronbek Sadyrbayev, a member of the Supreme Council, told the Council on 18 December 2006 that Bakiyev filed a lawsuit against the Parliament resolution passed on 22 September 2006 that implised he framed opposition politician Omurbek Tekebayev of a crime.[1]
