Janusz Głowacki, (born 1938 in Poznań, Poland) is a Polish-American author and screenwriter.

Głowacki wrote the screenplay of the Andrzej Wajda's movie Polowanie na muchy (1969) (aka Hunting Flies) and co-wrote the screenplay of the popular Polish movie Rejs (aka The Cruise), released in 1970.

He emigrated in 1981 to New York. Obtained Helen Hayes Awards Resident Production/The Charles MacArthur Award for Outstanding New Play for Antigone in New York (1994).
