Janko Tipsarević (Cyrillic: Јанко Типсаревић) is a Serbian tennis player, born on June 22, 1984 in Belgrade.

The winner of Junior Australian Open in 2001, he has won 8 ATP Challenger Series events but has yet to win an ATP tournament. Won the title of the fifth international tournament Hypo Alpe-Adria Open in Belgrade in February of 2006. He won 100,000 US dollars. Tipsarevic had reached his quarterfinal at the Nottingham tournament on grass in June. At the lower-level tournaments, he won the Belgrade title, was a finalist at Dresden, and reached the semifinals at Heilbronn.

But Tipsarevic found notoriety this season is when he mounted an impressive first-round challenge against Andy Roddick at Wimbledon in 2006. Tipsarevic captured the first set of their match in a tiebreaker, and stayed close to Roddick for much of the rest of the match before Roddick claimed a 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 win.

He often competes in Doubles Tournaments with partner, Mikhail Youzhny.

  • Janko has several tattoos on his back and arms. One of his arm tattoos is a quotation from Dostoevsky, "Beauty will save the world." He initially was going to get it in Russian but opted for Japanese because it looked better.
  • Has several piercings, including an eyebrow and a labre (space between lower lip and chin) piercing.
  • Is one of few tennis players who wears glasses. He always wears Oakley glasses.
  • Is pursuing a university degree in sports management.
  • Has a passion for snowboarding and skiing.
