Jang Woo Hyuk (장우혁) (born May 8, 1978) is a South Korean rapper from the group H.O.T.. After the revered k-pop group H.O.T. disbanded, its ex-members Tony An, Jang Woo Hyuk and Lee Jae Won formed the stylish dance music trio JTL. Now Woo Hyuk goes one step beyond by launching his highly anticipated solo career. He is also the CEO of Newest Entertainment (a dancing academy). His nicknames have been "Hammer Boy" and the "Dancing Sun" in Korea.

The singer collaborated with Kenzie the top composer and Pang Shi Hyuk who wrote the melody for Rain's hit "It's Raining" plus other talented musicians of the k-pop scene. Music lovers thirsting for groovy R&B style beats plus a flair of hip hop all blended with Woo Hyuk's inimitable vocals are well advised to check out this red hot release of No More Drama. To prepare for his solo album, Jang Woo Hyuk undergone 10 months of dance training[1].
Jang Woo Hyuk has become popular in China and Taiwan market. A poll in China's largest portal site, sina.com, was held and Jang Woo Hyuk topped two catergories, beating out Rain by 500 votes in the poll: "Who do you think is the most popular South Korean singer in China?" and more than double the votes in dancing[2]. He has expressed his deep interest of making appearances in China and Taiwan. During the beginning of April of 2006, he started his first promotion in China and finally created his official fan club in China.
In addition, world renowned singer, Amerie has stated her interest in performing with Jang Woo Hyuk.[citation needed]
