Janey Lee Grace

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Janey Lee Grace, (born 4 March 1963), is a UK-based singer (mostly backing vocalist, although she has released solo recordings), author, television (VH-1 and ITV) presenter and radio disc jockey, firstly with Virgin Radio as a travel reporter and then graduating to her own late night show for the station.

She began her career singing backing vocals for George Michael, Kim Wilde and Boy George, touring the world with Wham! for three years. Her own chart success came in the summer of 1991 when she teamed up with keyboardist Andrew Midgely to form the duo Cola Boy, reaching #8 in the UK singles chart with Seven Ways to Love.

Since 1999, she has been heard on BBC Radio 2 alongside Steve Wright on Steve Wright in the Afternoon and at one stage had her own from 3am-6am on Saturday mornings. She is widely suspected of portraying 'The Old Woman' on Monday afternoon editions of the programme, however this is very likely to be untrue as 'The Old Woman' and Grace have been heard on the same show on occasion.
