Janette Heather McBride, also known as Janet McBride (born November 6, 1983 in Queensland, Australia), is an Australian actress currently active in the Philippines. Born and raised in Australia to a Filipino mother and an Australian father, her breakthrough performance in Philippine cinema came in the year 2000 when she was cast in Laurice Guillen's award-winning and critically-acclaimed film Tanging Yaman.
McBride went on to star in different TV shows and series on ABS-CBN including Star Drama Theater Presents - Rave with Filipino actor Marvin Agustin, whom she starred with in Tanging Yaman.
Moreover, McBride had a stint co-hosting the now defunct ABS-CBN daytime talkshow "Talk TV". In 2001, she was voted 27th on the list of 100 Sexiest Women by FHM Philippines. She also was awarded with the New Movie Actress of the Year award by the Philippine Movie Press Club for her performance in Tanging Yaman.
She left the Philippines in 2001 at the height of her blossoming career and amidst controversies on her relationship with radio disc jockey and television personality Mo Twister, whom she eventually lived with in the United States for almost five years before they both moved back to the Philippines in 2006. McBride currently appears on the GMA afternoon drama series, Makita Ka Lang Muli.
