Janet Kagan

Janet Kagan is an author of two science fiction novels and numerous science fiction and fantasy short stories. Her story "The Nutcracker Coup" was nominated for both Hugo Award for Best Novelette and the Nebula Award for Best Novelette, winning the Hugo.

Her novels are Uhura's Song (a Star Trek spin-off novel, 1985) and Hellspark (1988). Mirabile, a collection of a series of stories revolving around a single character (and on that account sometimes also called a novel), was published in 1991.
