Janet Hubert-Whitten

Janet Hubert-Whitten (born January 13, 1956 in New York) is an actress who starred as Vivian Smith-Banks on the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air from 1990 to 1993. She has a son named Elijah, born in March 1992. She sometimes goes by the name Janet Hubert.

In 1993, Hubert-Whitten departed from Fresh Prince while pregnant after a series of conflicts with fellow cast members. The role of Vivian Banks was recast, and actress Daphne Maxwell Reid portrayed the character until the series ended in 1996. Hubert-Whitten currently portrays the character of Lisa Williamson on the ABC soap opera, One Life to Live. She also appeared in The Job starring Denis Leary, a small part in the popular sitcom Friends and on The Bernie Mac Show.
