In John Birmingham's Axis of Time universe, Jane Willet is a Royal Australian Navy Captain, in command of the submarine HMAS Havoc. After the Transition, Willet was the first person to truely understand the implications of their predicament, making her way to her hometown of Brisbane shortly after the event to

Willet had a younger sister, Corina, who worked as a field worker for the Save the Children Fund. While assessing a village in 2011, along with two doctors from Médecins Sans Frontières, she was kidnapped and then executed live via webcam. Willet would later reflect that when she found out about her baby sister's death was the only time she had regretted joining the Submarine Service.

Willet was likely born sometime in the late 1990's, due to her commenting 'Don't look at me like that Lieutenant, they ran out of letters for my generation' in Designated Targets
