Jane Randolph Jefferson

Jane Randolph Jefferson (1720-1776) was the wife of Peter Jefferson, cousin of Peyton Randolph, daughter of Isham Randolph, and the mother of Thomas Jefferson and his siblings. She was born in London, and came from a leading family. It was said that she was a descendant of Charlemagne, since she was a descendant from King Jean de Brienne of Jerusalem, King John of England, twice from King Edward I of England, twice from King Edward III of England and once from King Pedro I of Castile [1]
