Jane Hadley Barkley

Elizabeth Jane Rucker Hadley Barkley (September 23, 1911—September 6, 1964) was the second wife of Vice President Alben Barkley. She was known as Jane Hadley Barkley.
Born in Keytesville, Missouri, she married, as her first husband, Carleton Hadley, a lawyer. They had two daughters before his death in 1944.
She married Vice President Barkley, a widower, on November 18, 1949. She was his second wife.[1][2] Her husband retired from the vice presidency in January 1953.
Jane Barkley died of a heart attack, in Washington, D.C.[3]
