Jane Blalock

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jane Blalock ( September 19, 1945 Portsmouth, New Hampshire) is an American professional golfer.

Blalock attended Rollins College and was the LPGA Tour's Rookie of the Year in 1969. She went on to win twenty-seven events on the tour between 1970 and 1985, which is more than any other woman has accumulated without picking up a major championship. The closest she came to winning a major was a pair of runner up finishes at the LPGA Championship in 1972 and 1980. She finished in the top ten on the money list every year from 1971 to 1980 and also in 1985, with her best finishes being seconds in 1972 and 1974.
