Jan Fila

Jan Fila (born 24th January 1982 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, today Czech Republic) is representative of Czech youngest composers generation. He studied under Jiří Válek (1922-2005) and Jiří Gemrot (b. 1957). His pieces were played in Prague, Paris, Leipzig (D), Buckingham (UK) and many other places. His works includes mostly chamber music f.e. String Quartett (2005), Wind Quintett (2006-7), Sonate for Violin solo (2005), Vigilie for mezzosoprano, cello and piano after poem Antonín Brousek's (2005) a.o. Fila wrote music for uncomercial film Primátor Dittrich.
