Welcome!

<<unblock|I did not intentionally violate any copyright. The images I uploaded were, to my knowledge, publicity shots which bear no copyright. I do not POV edit. I am sick of the miserable nature of Wikipedians, blocking me for no apparant reason.>>

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reasons:

Please take more care with our Wikipedia:Copyrights policy in future. As for your "POV edits", I did find your edits 2006 transatlantic aircraft plot somewhat questionable in the realm of conspiracy theories, but definitely not block worthy by far when compared to a lot of other edit wars that take place around here.

[edit] A. Clowser

Welcome to Wikipedia. We're delighted to have you. Please refrain from removing tags placed by other Wikipedians on articles that you created. It is considered vandalism. Thank you for your contributions. Accurizer 17:51, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Page Blanking

On 16-Feb, you blanked Nikos Kazanstakis International Airport. Blanking pages is generally considered a bad idea. In cases of duplicate articles like this one, you should use a redirect. I've redirected this article to Heraklion International Airport, "Nikos Kazantzakis". If you believe the page should be deleted, please follow the deletion procedures. Thanks! -- JLaTondre 03:31, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Friendsath77.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Friendsath77.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Peteburns.gif

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Peteburns.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey 11:05, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Doa1985.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Doa1985.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:04, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Three Revert Rule

You may wish to note the Wikipedia rule on the number of reverts of any one article in one day at WP:3RR. You appear to have exceed that number of reverts on the George Galloway article on the 4th June. If you feel an article is being dominated by one point of view, you may wish to request comments from a wider group of people at WP:RFC Average Earthman 18:25, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Animatic 1 colour.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Animatic 1 colour.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. AlistairMcMillan 21:46, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging

I would argue that you don't understand how copyright works. You've uploaded a bunch of images and marked them with free use licenses, even though some are clearly publicity shots for which you don't control the copyright. Here is a list for which the source is missing:

  • Image:Steelworks01-W600.jpg
  • Image:Embassys.jpg
  • Image:Ssecamp.JPG
  • Image:SteveWynn400 250.jpg
  • Image:Galldevil.jpg
  • Image:GallowayBigBrother.jpg
  • Image:Dead Or Alive copy.jpg

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Ssexpcamp.JPG)

Thanks for uploading Image:Ssexpcamp.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fritz Saalfeld (Talk) 11:05, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
