[edit] Hippolyte Arnoux

Hi, I noticed your addition of the following reference* to this article and was wondering about its significance. Is it simply a notice of an exhibition of Arnoux's works? If so, although interesting to know about, it probably shouldn't be included in the article - unless there's a website to link to (?) or unless some information from the source can be added to the article (?).

* [Exposition. Paris, Centre historique des archives nationales. 1996-1997].

Hi,

This references is a published and illustrated catalogue of the exhibit. You can buy it from the French National Archives for 7 Euros. See the reference in the catalogue of the Bibliotheque Nationale, which I copied for this reference.

[edit] Category:Alumni Munson Institute of American Maritime Studies

Hello. I noticed you created a page at Category:Alumni Munson Institute of American Maritime Studies. It looks like you were confused about how categories work (see Wikipedia:Categorization). You were directly listing people instead of linking to the categories from the people's articles. If you wanted to make a manual list, you'll need to get help at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion. If you wanted to make a regular category that updates whenever you link to it, you should simply delete the sections you added. Let me know if you need any help. • Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. I have reinserted the template on this page. I am aware that you have paraphrased the article, but it still tracks the language of the other website, so I would like another editor to assess whether it is still a violation and also whether the list is protected by copyright. I added the requisite "hangon" template and an explanation of the issues on the talk page, so the article should not be deleted without these matters being reviewed. --Butseriouslyfolks 04:02, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
