[edit] The Acker family

I saw you restored the article on Syboat Acker. The reason I redirected it earlier was that there didn't seem to be enough material for an independent article. Is Syboat noteworthy for any reason other than his relation to the more famous Ackers? If so, that should be included in the article, but if not, I don't think there's much point in having a separate article for him. Let me know what you think on my talk page. --RobthTalk 04:43, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

Sounds good; if you could edit the article to make it clear that it deserves to be a standalone article on those grounds, that would be great; that way it'll be less likely that someone else will come along and redirect it in the future. --RobthTalk 04:58, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:060907.05.NY.Tarrytown.Reformed Church of the Tarrytowns.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:060907.05.NY.Tarrytown.Reformed Church of the Tarrytowns.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] A/S Anthon Berg

When you create redirects, such as A/S Anthon Berg, please make sure they actually become redirects, and not just have the word redirect on them. If a page becomes a redirect, you will see an arrow to the right of the other title, not a 1. Redirect. Eli Falk 12:50, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] A/S Galle & Jessen

[edit] Notability of No Direction Films

A tag has been placed on No Direction Films, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Pascal.Tesson 02:37, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
