[edit] User pages

Hmm, my guess is that User:JaMikePA and User:KnoxSGT are really the same person. If that is the case, see Wikipedia:Changing username and WP:USER#How_do_I_delete_my_user_and_user_talk_pages.3F for how to go about doing that. If not, one user should not be going around blanking the user pages of another user see WP:USER and WP:BLANK. But, I am assuming good faith and wanted to provide the info in case you didn't have it. — MrDolomite • Talk 17:35, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Red Links

You attention to Philadelphia Soul is appreciated. However, the Wikipedia policy regarding Red Links indicates that they serve a purpose, indicating the need for an article for instance. "Red links are not appropriate." is not a tenet of Wikipedia. How else would it grow?

Your edit of Philadelphia Soul doesn't allow for that article to be created. Ar-wiki 13:07, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

  1. Re: As the red links article states, you must intend to write the article. If you don't intend, don't create a link.JaMikePA 14:57, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
Where does it say that? The first thing it says is "Create red links to needed, unwritten topics." Other pages attempt to link to Fuller, but they link to the wrong person. I'll add this to the discussion page for Philadelphia Soul. I think it should be put back. Ar-wiki 17:01, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
  2. It's obvious that you haven't even fully read the page you reference. On the red link page, it clearly states not to "create links for subsidiary topics that result in red links (links that go nowhere) to articles that will never be created, such as the titles of book chapters. Do create red links to articles you intend to create or technical terms that need to be explained."
I have read through the WP:RED page. My contention is that this is not an "article(s) that will never be created". WP:RED doesn't say that if a user creates a red link, that user must create the corresponding article. At any rate, I've made mention of this on Talk:Philadelphia Soul. This train of thought can be continued there. Ar-wiki 17:39, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
