James Luko, born in Canada in 1966, went on to obtain a BA in International Affairs at the George Washington University in Washington DC, then worked for the Canadian Defence Department in 1992 while earning a Masters Degree at University of Waterloo, in Waterloo Canada. After that, Luko was accepted to Law School in Michigan but during his first year, he joined the United Nations Mission in Bosnia in 1995. In 1998, while in Bosnia, Luko was appointed a position as Operations Officer for the United Nations War Crimes Tribunl for the Former Yugoslavia in the capital city of Belgrade. There he later was promoted by the Deputy Chief Prosecutor to Deputy Head of Office. In early 2005 Luko resigned his post and returned to Arizona where he made a success in real estate development. In 2006 Luko created Luko Wines LLC which is a small wine company that produced hand crafted premium wines in California. He currently lives in Houston, Texas with his four year old daughter, Sabina.
