The one and only JamaicanFlava (real name: เคอร์ติส).
I'm 15 and I live in London, England. My Background is Jamaican and Turkish. I got my first computer in 1994 (a 386 SX/20) , after convincing my parents that everybody needs one.
When I first turned it on and it went through all the booting , I was left in MS-DOS with just a C:\> prompt and I had no clue of any commands. I called my friend and asked what I should and he told me about DIR. Yatti yatta I'm on Wikipedia.

[edit] Interests
My interests Include: Computer Science , Vulgar Latin , Cryptography , Unix , Ansi C , The Industrial Military Complex and The Future.
[edit] Education
I was always big on education , but never on school... Autodidactism is my favorite!
[edit] Pre Grade 6 Days
Back when 14,400bps modems were really really really fast and you could still get around on a 2400, I used to skip school (starting from grade 3) and just chat , upload and download , read usenet , etc... while my friends where at school learning about dinosaurs.
[edit] Junior Highschool
By the time I was in grade 7 I couldn't stand being in school and was very vulgar towards authority figures to the point where suspensions where an almost everyday thing. My skills in Math , English , and Science where average at best to exagerate it a bit , but my skills in Computers where at the gifted level. I was the first in my schools history to be skipped 2 grades in any given subject.
[edit] Non PC Computers I've had been owned
Before I was 10:
[edit] Amiga
- Amiga 500 - upgraded to 1mb OMG!
- Amiga 2000 w/ fitted with a CSA derrenger 68030(ran Scala perfect and 1.3 w/ 2.0 kick file was so good back then).
- Amiga CD32 w/ A1200 what-cha-ma-call-it.
[edit] Apple Macintosh
- Macintosh Color Classic - I loved this thing and it ran SimCity good.
- Macintosh IIvx - Randomly bought for some insane inflated price of something like $500CAD.
- Macintosh Quadra 950 - This thing was so nuts I used it for a good 4 years after it became completely obsolete. I had System 7.6.1 so tricked out when it booted the screen would literally fill with every extenion imaginable. It also was maxed out in ram with a 4mb NuBus Radius video card. I never got around to getting the PPC upgrade and I've regretted it ever since. I gave the machine to a friend who installed A/UX and now has it sitting some where on the interweb doing something...
- Macintosh Powerbook 140 - Bought for something stupid and only used it for Chessmaster and an elaborate AppleShare network I had in my room.
- PowerBook Duo 230 - They threw in the dock so I had no choice... I used to bring it to school and during detenion explain I had homework to finish only to play Chessmaster.
- Macintosh Powerbook 5300 - It wasn't color but it was PPC. All the Macs at our computer lab where 68k based LC630'ss with 1 PM6100/60 the teacher used. At the time it was the fastest thing within 5 city blocks of my school.
[edit] Atari
- Atari 800XL - I bought this off some guy who knew so much about 8-bit Atari's , he wrote , hacked , built , and modded everything. It still boots Pole Position perfectly.
- Atari Portfolio - I used to write BASIC_programming_language code on this thing until my friends sister stole it!
[edit] Sun
- Sun Microsystems SPARCstation 10 - I'll admit when I was 15 I was running Solaris and thats when I learned about Unix type things in general. The External RAID box it came with had funny lights on the front so I would flick it on and off on and off on and off until the file system became so dammged fsck couldn't fix Humpty Dumpty.
After I was 10:
- Power Macintosh 9500 - Got it off eBay , put a g3 500mhz daughtercard in , a Macintosh Edition Radeion , and used XPOSTFACTO to run Mac OSX.
- Apple iBook G4 - Its the computer I use to view wikipedia and it has stickers on the back.
[edit] Plans for the future
I'm currently working on a plan to become the first Billionare in my family. I don't know how I'll do it , but I told my friend it would be easy.
