James Michael Johnston (born July 7, 1989) is a Canadian actor. He is perhaps best known for his role as Peter Stone on the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation.
Johnston was born in Toronto, Ontario and has English, Scottish and Irish ancestry.[1] He began modelling at the age of nine, and went on to perform in commercials before being cast in a role in the play Aesop Fables: A Man, A Boy & A Donkey at the Trinity Theatre. Johnston's stage performances also include PM Productions' Epimendes and Job And The Snake at the Betty Oliphant Theatre and a local community theatre production of The Chrysalids.
Johnston currently plays Peter Stone on Degrassi: The Next Generation. He has also recently appeared on the series Wild Card. He is a student at Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts, and has a wide range of interests, including soccer, snowboarding, skateboarding and playing the guitar.
